Zineb Sedira was born in Paris (France) in 1963 and currently resides in London (United Kingdom), and operates between Algiers (Algeria), Paris and London. Throughout her career spanning fifteen years, Sedira has contributed to the discourse on modernism, modernity and their all-encompassing forms. She has also brought attention to the contemporary artistic expression and experience in North Africa. Sedira initially drew inspiration from exploring her identity as a woman with a unique personal geography. Her interests have since expanded to more universal themes of movement, memory and communication.
