Sunday Jack Akpan, born in 1940 in Ikot Ide Etukudo, Nigeria, is a sculptor renowned for his cement creations of traditional-style statues, mainly used as grave art. His unique approach to commercial art, including religious figures and business signage, has gained international recognition.
