Shady El Noshokaty is a contemporary Egyptian artist born in 1971, whose projects have been featured globally, including in prestigious venues like the Venice Biennial and Hayward Gallery. He also serves as an Associate Professor at the American University in Cairo and played a significant role in art education in Egypt. In 2010, he founded the ASCII Foundation for Contemporary Art Education, aimed at developing experiences in new media art practices and creativity in Egypt.

El Noshokaty was an executive curator for Ahmed Basionyâs art project at the 2011 Venice Biennial.
